I have a B7610 with FEL & fluid filled rear tires. While brushhogging on rough ground it's a good idea to wear the seat belt to keep from bouncing off the seat sometimes. Any ideas on softening the ride with some modifications to the seat/springs etc.? Anyone else have this problem?

If your tires are filled too full, the ride can be nothing short of back breaking. Try letting some water out so that there is about 30% or more air. that was how my tractor was set up, and it was the first thing I did. Helped alot. ....

Move the valve stem to the very top and drain some air to start. 12 lbs would be a good place to start. ....

when i brush hog rough terrain area's I put my right knee on the seat & left leg the floor & use my left knee as a shock absorber also. Obviuosly this will only work to a certain extent of rough terrain. If it's to rough for that then I agree with lucerne...slow down ....

You didn't say, but I am guessing you have R-4 tires. If you do, they have the worst ride on the market to start with and filling with fluid compounds the problem.

The best way to soften the ride would be a set of radial mud and snow tires and some bolt-on wheel weights. ....

The Kubota deluxe seats can be tuned to your weight and the terrain to help soften the ride. You might look into a deluxe seat for the 7610. I was quoted around $220 for the deluxe seat for the 7800. ....

Safety shutoffs are great, but take time to work. After what I've seen my cutter do to small trees... I don't even consider not using the seat belt with it or the tiller.

Admittedly, I should always use it, but sometimes loading brush on trailer & in bucket manually I get lazy and don't buckle up every time on & off. Just look at kwschumm 's roll over photos.

Hope this isn't famous last words...
